Detailed Dolphin Parking Sensor Installation

Lee Knowles
Cheshire
Dolphin Audio in silver fitted to a Honda Civic. Masking tape is used to accurately identify the drilling location and it helps hold the drill bit in place when drilling and protect the paintwork. Ideally you want to mount them 50cm off the ground, you can get away with less but may need to use the wedges included in the kit to angle the sensors up slightly if you start mounting at 40cm or less.
The bumper has been drilled in situ but them removed to feed the cabling through to the boot where you can see a hole has been drilled and gromit fitted to pass the cabling through, you can alternatively use some silicone sealant. Power lead has been soldered onto the reverse light feed but a connector block is a more common solution.

Ford S-Max Dolphin Installed

Aji VELU
London
Dolphin Display kit in black fitted to a Ford Focus S-Max. Photo's show that bumper has been drilled without removal. The central 2 sensors look a little lower than we would normally advise but customer reports they work fine. Outer two sensors mounted at high up for convenience of fitting.

Most difficult was finding how to remove the LH rear lamp cluster then using a volt meter to find the correct wire, I didn't have a diagram nor did Halfords. I drilled very small starter holes before using the supplied hole cutter, a god send, particularly after I realized the bit needed cleaning after every hole. It took me most of 4hrs and at the end it became difficult getting up and down from the garage floor. (80 years old)
